Covid 19 has caused an incalculable cost to human life. But it’s also one of the biggest challenges business has faced for generations. CEOs have not only had to protect their business, but also protect their people.

Our survey of CEOs globally provides a glimpse of the steps business leaders have taken, and their future priorities.

Employees have been at the heart of decisions. Their health and safety has come first - 93% of UK CEOs prioritised this over everything else. What’s striking is the extent UK CEOs lead the charge on the mental wellbeing of their people. Nine out of ten CEOs are providing wellbeing support, compared with under two thirds of CEOs globally.

Leaders recognise the importance of a healthy and motivated workforce. With many businesses under pressure on so many fronts, the challenge will be ensuring this focus continues. Investing in employees - their safety, their wellbeing and their skills - is key to economic recovery.
