Lynne Rainey

Partner, Deals, PwC United Kingdom

Lynne is a Partner within our Forensic Services practice, with specific responsibility for Corporate Intelligence (CI), and works primarily with financial services clients. Using an extensive range of industry leading and proprietary information databases, supplemented with source enquiries, Lynne’s team helps clients make informed decisions about who they partner with, who they buy, when they should litigate and who they can trust.

Having built the team’s asset tracing practice, she leads engagements for a range of Irish and UK banks seeking to recover bad debt; and works buy-side for asset management companies seeking to buy loan portfolios.  She has also led a number of AML remediation programmes.

Reputational due diligence remains a key part of the CI business, and Lynne has led the delivery of reputational and integrity due diligence research on clients’ potential business partners and acquisition targets; and programmatic due diligence research focused on bribery and corruption on third party suppliers.

In addition, she has been heavily involved in providing CI support on forensic investigations, ranging from local public sector assignments to international, multi-jurisdiction investigations for leading finance houses.

Based in the Belfast office, Lynne has day-to-day operational responsibility for leading a multi-lingual team of 30 CI research analysts.
