Paul Brady

Northern England - Cyber Security Director, PwC United Kingdom

Senior Manager in PwC's successful and growing IT, Digital & Cyber Risk Assurance practice.

I lead our growing Cyber security team across the North, helping clients manage risk, with IT and data assurance, Enterprise Resilience, information governance, cyber security and with ‘Building Digital Trust’ – assuring business strategies and plans that are fit for the digital age.

Our team are experienced at delivering proportionate risk management in large scale business, finance and ICT transformations and other business change and security improvement initiatives such as security accreditation for ICT systems or business processes.

As a former CESG Listed Advisor (CLAS) and as a Full Member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals (M.Inst.ISP) I have advised critical national infrastructure organisations and government and public sector clients increasingly on cyber and information security matters - to enable or evidence proportionate management of information risk and to help implement best practice in information assurance and security.

I have applied this knowledge in recent years to organisations outside the public sector and the demand for assurances for cyber security is increasing across all sectors, with businesses keen to understand how competitors and other sectors tackle cyber risks, threats and vulnerabilities to protect their business.

We leverage best practice and global standards including ISO2700x and the tools developed by the Information Security Forum (ISF), as well as applying government standards and HMG Security Policy Framework so clients can implement security that is pragmatic, appropriate and cost effective.
