Agnes Quashie

Partner – Regulatory and Commercial Disputes, PwC United Kingdom

I am Agnes Quashie, Partner and Practice Group Leader of our Regulatory and Commercial Disputes team. With a career spanning some 20 years, I have worked for a range of clients in high profile UK and international cases.

I lead complex cases from first instance through to the Supreme Court and European Court of Justice (ECJ) and regularly advise and assist clients in respect of large and complex commercial disputes and also large scale investigations by regulatory and prosecuting authorities such as the Serious Fraud Office and HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). The combination of my experience in dealing with large scale corporate crime investigations, and regulatory and commercial disputes has allowed me to advise and successfully defend clients on cases which are multifaceted and which involve, for example, corruption, asset tracing, tax evasion, fraudulent misrepresentation, asset recovery, injunctions and judicial review.

I am also a leading authority on legal professional privilege and acted for the applicant in one of the UK's foremost cases on legal professional privilege, namely R (on the Application of Prudential plc and another [Appellants] v Special Commissioner of Income Tax and another [Respondents] [2013] UKSC1).
