Oliver has significant experience in advising clients on all aspects of running pension schemes, including employer covenants, benefit changes, group restructuring and merger issues, liability management, offshore planning, large in-bound schemes, and regulatory clearance issues.
He advises on restructuring issues and is very experienced with statutory and scheme debt issues and often works closely with PwC’s pensions practice to provide workable and commercial solutions for clients.
Prior to joining PwC Legal, Oliver was on secondment at the Pensions Regulator and provided legal advice to the Regulator on a variety of issues.
Amongst other things, Oliver has advised on public sector outsourcing matters and the requirements of participation in public sector arrangements. Oliver has also advised corporates in relation to scheme investment obligations and investment management agreements.
