Raj leads PwC’s retirement & pensions consulting business globally. He is also responsible for leading our people-related services to organisations in government and health sectors for the UK.
In his role as a pensions consulting partner, he advises companies, trustees, regulators and governments, in the UK and internationally. He works across industries with boards and management tasked with the strategy and delivery of change to their organisation’s pension arrangements. Raj invented and pioneered PwC’s methodology for pension plan funding, and is also a leading commentator on the subject of pension plan design. He has helped a number of FTSE100 and multinationals with new innovations, during his work for clients such as Intercontinental Hotels Group, BAE Systems, ITV and Aviva.
In 2020, he took on responsibility for our people-related services for clients in the governmental and health sectors. He firmly believes that these types of organisations will have a crucial role to play in the recovery of our economy and society, over the coming years.
Raj has a Mathematics degree from the University of Oxford, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. He is Board adviser to a technology start-up and Trustee of a charity focused on helping young people fulfil their potential in aviation and space.
