: 7th December 2021
Duration: In-person (11am-1.30pm), Virtual (11am-12pm)
Location: Across each of our East Midlands business schools

Join us on the 7th December, either in person at one of our local business schools or virtually, for our 'Accelerating growth in a complex world ' event, in partnership with BEIS, Be the Business, CMI, ICAEW and five business schools across the East Midlands. The session is focussed on small and medium sized businesses.

As leaders of small and medium sized enterprises, you are facing an ever more complex environment, not least rapid evolution in technology, the war for talent, the perils of inflation and an unclear economic outlook. How can you support your organization's to thrive in this complex world? This event will explore some of those challenges and the practical help available to enable business leaders to be even more successful. A panel discussion will focus on key issues facing businesses and solutions that, you as business leaders, can use. The panel will be followed by an opportunity to discuss these challenges at five business schools* across the region, working with peers to share ideas.

We are excited to be joined by a number of speakers. Paul Scully MP, Minister for Small Business, Consumers and Labour Markets, will introduce the session focussing on the government’s priorities for supporting small and medium enterprises. This will be followed by a panel discussion to include;

  • Ali Breadon, Market Senior Partner for PwC East Midlands
  • Anthony Impey, Chief Executive of Be the Business
  • Iain Wright, Managing Director of Reputation and Influence at ICAEW
  • Daisy Hooper, Head of Policy at CMI

We will also be joined by other SME business leaders to share their experiences.
