Date: Wednesday 27 April 2022
Time: 1:30-5:30pm (BST) followed by a drinks reception
Location: PwC, 7 More London Riverside, London, SE1 2RT
This conference will focus on a broad spectrum of alternative asset managers issues ranging across private equity, private credit, hedge funds, liquid trading / crypto assets and real assets. The afternoon will feature a plenary session, panel discussions and elective deep dive breakout sessions from a mixture of speakers. After the conference, you will get a chance to network with industry colleagues and PwC's Alternative Investment Funds team over drinks and canapés.
During the coffee breaks and networking sessions, we will be showcasing the following industry focused technology solution demonstrations in The Frontier Data Lab:
Ops tax tool - The PwC Op Taxes tool helps clients monitor global tax rules whilst being able to assess the impact of Op taxes on a portfolio’s returns. The tool also provides a clear risk management process through which clients can understand the tax risk ratings across a range of investments and manage portfolio risk effectively while capturing specific business guidance and advice for wider consumption in the organisation.
Engagement Center - The PwC Engagement Center is a multi-faceted workflow tool which helps clients collaborate with their PwC team, manage activities, share data and documents and monitor the progress of deliverables all in one place, accessible at any time, from anywhere in the world in a way that is transparent and secure.
IBCI calculation tool and investor reporting - The Income Based Carried Interest (‘IBCI’) rules seek to tax carried interest as trading income (at up to 47%) to the extent that the weighted average holding period (‘WAHP’) of an investment scheme is less than 40 months. This tool automatically performs the WAHP calculation and the conditional exemption calculation for each of your funds and feeds the output into a visual output that not only allows you to see the WAHP of your investment schemes, but also provides analytics on an investment by investment basis.
ESG reporting tool - If you're a fund manager, with multiple funds and potentially thousands of investments, assessing the tax credentials of each is challenging, isn't it? That's where our solution comes in as part of our wider ESG toolkit. Taxation plays an important role in a company's affairs, even if it is not often at the forefront of ESG conversations. The tax ESG tool will consider key taxation aspects of listed companies, the solution performs an analysis of the data, and calculates a scoring for each company, with the results displayed in an interactive visualisation.
FATCA/CRS - Our approach to FATCA/CRS reporting leverages technology and our team of experts to deliver a high quality, efficient outsourced service that provides clients with an intuitive way to achieve effective oversight and control. The technology platforms we deploy allow flexibility in how we receive data, provide interactive dashboards allowing clients to get straight to the insights that matter, and deliver reliable report production in over 80 countries. Our specialist engagement teams are on hand to support clients with seamless advice and support in real time alongside our reporting service.
