Jon Richardson, head of tax policy at PwC, comments:
"Retail businesses have got some business rates relief without the cost of an online sales tax, assuaging those retailers with an online presence, and the UK's international friends involved in the Global OECD tax plan which prohibits any new digital taxes. However the spectre of an online sales tax has not gone away as the Chancellor announced that it is still under review.”
