PwC UK has announced changes to its Deals Leadership team and has continued to strengthen the practice with the promotion of nine new equity partners from 1 January 2022.
Lucy Stapleton has been appointed as Head of Deals and a member of the firm’s Management Board. With over 25 years’ experience at PwC within its Transactions Services team, Lucy brings a wealth of experience to the role and is committed to delivering our part in the global recovery, working alongside government, investors, and corporates, and ultimately unlocking value for shareholders, stakeholders, and wider society.
Lucy has appointed Jonathon Land as Chief Operating Officer, Andrew McKechnie as Markets & Services leader, Claire Reid as Forensics Services Business Unit Leader and Mike Gibbons as Head of People for the deals line of service.
The promotions across Deals will maintain the strong leadership of the business as there continues to be record levels of deal activity, globally.

The nine new equity partners include:
Asim Iqbal - Asim leads PwC’s market leading Telecoms Corporate Finance team. He provides lead financial advisory services on M&A and capital raising for infrastructure funds, private equity and major corporate sponsors across the spectrum of telecoms, digital infrastructure and telecom services.
Chris Holden - Chris is part of the Financial Due Diligence team in Transaction Services, providing diligence for private equity clients, with extensive experience working on large, complex, cross-border transactions across a number of sectors.
Dan Bunyan - Dan sits within our Strategy& Deals business, advising corporate and private equity clients across a range of growth strategy topics. He works across the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, with a particular focus on the digital media industries.
Jamie Grigg - Jamie is part of the Financial Due Diligence team in Transaction Services, focussing on Mid Tier Private Equity and Corporate clients in London and the South East region.
Mark Loring - Mark is part of the Financial Crime team in Forensics Services, focussing on the delivery of Execution Managed Services (EMS) to clients in the Financial Services industry.
Jeff Nye - Jeff sits in PwC’s Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) team within Transaction Services and will focus on helping private equity and corporate clients across a range of sectors and deal sizes to maximise and protect value through their M&A transaction pricing mechanisms.
Pragya Jain - Pragya sits within PwC’s Valuations team, focussing on Energy, Utilities, Mining and Infrastructure sectors. Pragya’s role will be focussed on providing valuation services to utilities and infrastructure funds supporting the increased deal activity driven by ESG and energy transition related trends.
Vince Powell - Having joined PwC in 2021 with extensive industry experience, Vince's focus is on developing products and solutions to enable data driven insights creating and protecting value across the entire deals lifecycle. Vince will lead on analytics technology, methods and infrastructure in our new Deals Insight and Analytics (DIA) capability.
Anthea Sizer - Anthea sits in PwC’s Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) team within Transaction Services and advises Private Equity clients. Anthea specialises in the Energy, Utilities, Mining and Infrastructure sector.
