“It is clear the effects of the pandemic have negatively impacted women across the UK. While the South East’s pay gap remains high, we are steadily improving and this is reflected in our rise in the Index which is encouraging. However, we do still have a long way to go."
PwC has launched its 2022 Scale FinTech cohort, the fifth group of innovative Fintechs to join the programme, which curates partnerships, co-creation and collaboration between FinTechs and large financial institutions keen to tap into new ways of driving profitability, growth and innovation.
Eight companies are included in this year’s cohort, specialising in a wide range of technologies including regulatory solutions, ‘hyperautomation’, a tool to enable confidential data collaborations, and a company on a mission to create a ‘digital twin’ of all properties across Europe.
The programme is delivered in collaboration with GrowthBuilders and is designed to gather Financial Services industry leaders and scale-up disrupters to work closer together to drive innovation in the market.
Having run more than 50 Scale Programmes in the UK working with more than 500 scale-ups, PwC’s Scale offering of three core components is proven to accelerate growth by tapping into PwC’s corporate network that stretches around the globe; exploring opportunities with PwC leaders who work with the biggest FS brands; and upskilling and developing scale-up teams through a world-class business growth curriculum.
The programme is delivered over 12 weeks with the business curriculum covering topics such as sales and marketing, operational growth, professional readiness, valuations, leading through growth and exposure to financial service specialisms. The cohort itself is curated around PwC’s large client challenges which brings through highly relevant solutions to drive opportunities for both.
Peter Hewlett, PwC Scale | FinTech Programme Sponsor, commented:
“It gives me great pleasure to announce our cohort of eight innovative FinTech firms, all of whom have great potential to impact and scale within the Financial Services industry.
“From a group of more than 700 FinTechs, we have selected eight exceptional firms to whom we will be providing access to advice, bespoke support and client networking events.
“Our clients have been on an innovation journey and see FinTechs as important players in their ecosystem. There are opportunities to collaborate, partner and acquire - it’s why we’re so pleased to be working with these scale-ups.
“I'm excited to follow this intake and work with them to continue to drive transformation within the Financial Service industry.”
