I began my career in Audit but was soon drawn to Consulting as I wanted to help influence client problems and have a material impact on their welfare. I specialise in performance improvement in the healthcare sector, and have helped multiple NHS Trusts deliver high levels of patient care.
I’m passionate about delivering these projects, as I get to work with frontline staff to tackle problems and design solutions that really impact patients’ lives. Understanding their individual challenges and gaining respect and trust to challenge existing behaviours and approaches is not easy and can test personal resilience; however, I find nothing more rewarding than working together towards a common goal. My latest project was helping a Trust to reach number one in the country, whilst reducing the spend on extra beds by 78 %. Being able to be part of that project, felt really rewarding, inspiring even.
I focus on putting the team first and growing the capability of those around me in order to exceed expectations. I take pride in delivering results with my clients, never taking the easy option and making sure we find the right solution to the problems they face.

I started my career working for a big technology company, and soon become fascinated with problem-solving; working with clients in a dynamic environment. Moving to consultancy allowed me to experience situations where the client is facing real and immediate challenges to its business; situations that demand agility, in-depth knowledge of the industry, and an ability to work closely with the client to create the solution together.
15 years on, I find myself at the centre of the sale and delivery of a broad range of challenging digital transformation projects in the insurance industry; from strategy engagements through to large-scale delivery programmes. I have found my natural home in Insurance, helping clients grapple with ever changing customer expectations and the technology impact.
Recently, I delivered a unique piece of work for a FTSE 100 insurance firm, shaping its direct commercial insurance digital proposition by designing a digital solution that radically changed the way the company engaged with its SME customers.

I always wanted to be a consultant, and even though I wanted to get industry experience first, to understand how businesses operate on the inside before making the transition to adviser. That experience was a real help to me because I’ve quickly realised where my heart lies. Consulting allows you to have many different problems to solve, whereas in industry you don’t get the same opportunities and challenges to live on the edge of your comfort zone.
Recently, I’ve taken forward two very different projects in parallel, both of which have been very successful for the client. On the one hand, I’ve advised a multi-billion-pound FTSE 100 housebuilder with huge scale, structure, clearly defined procedures and protocols; and on the other, I’ve helped an international law firm, with the very different set of challenges and sensitivities.

I count myself very lucky to be working in a profession and subject area – the pharmaceutical industry – that I'm very passionate about. My expertise lies in strategy, particularly the pharma value chain. I help clients address their most pressing strategic challenges (e.g. pricing, market access, growth strategy, tendering and patient engagement) and I’m passionate about making a real difference.
In particular, there are two projects I’ve worked on that have made a real difference for very different reasons: one focuses on the client and the other more on the patient, but both were equally fascinating and the benefits of both will be felt for years to come.
Success for me is not just about what I deliver for clients, it’s also about what I deliver for my team. As someone who has faced the challenge of combining a young family life with a vibrant, fulfilling consulting career, I’m committed to providing support and guidance to new working mothers and fathers, and I take every opportunity to help my colleagues make it work
