Capital Gains Tax review

As you will have seen, last week the Office for Tax Simplification (OTS) published their first of two reports reviewing Capital Gains Tax. This report was requested by the Government in July 2020 and is in addition to similar reviews the Government has asked the OTS to undertake into other taxes, such as Inheritance Tax, over recent years.

We wanted to summarise the key themes of this report and give context to the wider economic and political debates that are ongoing, as you may wish to consider how these different factors could impact on your personal and business decisions.

A panel of our leading specialists have recorded a session exploring these issues. The panel includes:
