System Group Limited

Tim Higgins and Edward Williams of PwC have been appointed as joint administrators of the System Group Limited on 16 November 2022.

The Company is registered in Surrey, has a main trading location in Liverpool, but operates nationally. The Company is a training provider for the transport and logistics industry.
The business has historically been broadly break-even/slightly cash generative and hoped to grow based on government announcements of HGV driver shortages. The Company was awarded various contracts under the DfE bootcamp scheme to accelerate driver development, however the scheme was not as successful as anticipated and, coupled with a delay in government procurement in other aspects, the business has faced mounting cash flow pressure. The Company was unable to continue to trade, filed a Notice of intention to appoint administrators on 14 November, and entered into administration on 16 November 2022.

There were 132 employees at the date of administration, with 105 redundancies made immediately upon appointment. We initially retained a core team of staff to assist with the administration strategy but these staff were made redundant over the following weeks up to 9 December 2022.

Timothy Andrew Higgins and Edward Williams have been appointed as Joint Administrators of the Company to manage its affairs, business and property as its agents and without personal liability. The Joint Administrators are licensed in the United Kingdom to act as insolvency practitioners by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

The Joint Administrators may act as controllers of personal data as defined by UK data protection law depending upon the specific processing activities undertaken. PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP may act as a processor on the instructions of the Joint Administrators.
