In July 2016 we brought together our people, their families, our charity partners and networks for the PwC Games - a day of sport and entertainment at Eton Dorney.
In addition to a relay triathlon and family fun, our PwC pantomime cast performed and members of the PwC Social Entrepreneurs Club provided goods to buy.
The day was a celebration of the Race for £3 million, an initiative launched in 2014 to bring the firm together in collective fundraising for our PwC Foundation charities, Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer Scotland, Beyond Food, Groundwork, National Literacy Trust, and Wellbeing of Women.

"I’m delighted and extremely proud of every one of us that has played their part in helping us to reach our fundraising goal of £3 million. The level of care, commitment, enthusiasm and energy shown across the firm to support these charities, both at the PwC Games and throughout the campaign, has been really inspiring and makes an important contribution to our commitment to solve important problems and build trust in society."
Over 1,000 people attended over the course of the day, where there were lots of activities to get involved in - including dragon boat races, giant outdoor games, yoga sessions (led by PwC volunteers) and parent and child scootathlons.
Feedback from our senior stakeholders, charity partners and people supported our aim for the PwC Games to be fully inclusive, being accessible for all ages and abilities through a variety of activities.
"It is inspiring to see so many of our people, along with their families and friends, supporting our charities and social enterprises through either taking part in the activities or simply getting to know more about them by visiting their stalls."
The Race for £3m brought our people together to show the collective difference we can make, and the impact we can have with our charities partners. The Games was a celebration of this commitment.
