PwC Reading - The route to economic recovery and impact on the international tax landscape - 27 September 2021

Date: 27 September 2021
Time: 11.00 - 12.00
Location: Virtual

We will be holding a virtual discussion with Lord Gavin Barwell on 27 September 2021. Lord Barwell is a former MP and was Downing Street Chief of Staff to Theresa May until the day she left No 10. Gavin joined PwC as a special adviser on macro political matters.

Gavin will talk about the likely impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the UK and international tax landscape, the government’s ‘Build Back Better - plan for growth’ and the medium-term prospects for the UK economy. He will also touch on some of the other issues that are likely to dominate UK politics over the next couple of years, such as climate change, our trading relationship with the EU and a potential second independence referendum in Scotland, and what impact they are likely to have on businesses.

Testimonials from other clients include:

"A lot of ground was covered in a relatively short space of time, and having the chance to hear 'first hand' Gavin's take on the current COVID, economic and political issues is always appreciated. In the sea of webinars that are available at the moment your roundtable with Gavin stands out (by some distance) in my opinion."

"Great presentation, Gavin’s insight, slides and clarity were exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed it and found it very thought provoking."
