It has been some time since our last newsletter, but you will be pleased to hear we have not been idle! Our senior team has continued to grow with Craig Sullivan being promoted to Director and we have had a number of qualified members of staff supporting us as we continue to grow our business; they join our intake of this year's graduates and higher apprentices.
On 7 June 2017 we will again be participating in Ride the Nation, PwC UK's iconic charity cycle challenge. The event physically connects all 31 offices in the UK network, including offices in the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland, by means of a cycling relay.
The West of England Business of the Year Awards launched on 1 February and are a great opportunity to profile your business and get quality, honest feedback from independent judges. We'd love you all to enter as we think this is a fantastic opportunity for businesses in the South West. I know I am biased but this is a great event showcasing some of the excellent businesses based in the South West. For more information please go online.

Good Growth for Cities
Our Good Growth for Cities report launched at the end of last year and we are immensely proud of how Plymouth performed. Highlights include the highest increase in employment since 2012 with a well above average index score showing extremely positive job growth in Plymouth. Read more online

Another of our favourite bits of research this financial year has been the global family business survey. Having spoken to over 2800 decision makers in family businesses in over 50 countries, we are delighted to share the insights we have gained. Cyber attacks in the region
On a slightly less positive note we wanted to inform people of the ever present risk of cyber attacks. Having seen the recent attack on the country's largest health trust it is becoming a more and more common event. In a first of its kind event outside of London, Bristol recently hosted a gathering of the fintech community to come together, share ideas and collaborate. The next event is going to be held towards the end of April, so stay tuned for more details. In the meantime have a look at this.
