'The Power of Five' - Creating the female leaders of the future

It’s vital that we provide the opportunities to those who ordinarily might not consider a career in a specific sector to gain exposure and learn key skills at a time when they might well be considering their future careers. Every business needs to ensure that it attracts and retains the best talent it can and be more open minded about where that talent may come from. Hopefully the 'power of five' will play a vital role helping to find the North East’s future female leaders.

Beyond Brexit - 'A morning with Michael Moore'

We know that the rapidly changing political environment and ongoing Brexit negotiations make this a difficult time for businesses to feel able to make decisions. Whilst the next few weeks will be extremely important in determining the future outcome of the Brexit deal, it is vital that businesses don't wait to begin planning until things feel more certain. Organisations should take action now to be ready for either a deal and no deal. We are committed to keeping you informed of the latest developments in a way that is meaningful and relevant to your business and we will be inviting Michael Moore, Former Secretary of State for Scotland and PwC Senior Advisor, to spend the morning with us in our Leeds office to provide the his views and insights on the latest developments.

Yorkshire Annual Board Dinner

On 26th April, along with Odgers Berndtson, PwC held their annual Yorkshire Board Dinner at Aspire in Leeds. The Yorkshire Board Dinner has developed to become a key event in the business calendar and has taken several forms; bringing together the senior business leaders in the region, to hear from well-informed keynote speakers, network and discuss key topics. This year PwC and Odgers Berndtson hosted a special evening to discuss and debate the impact of Brexit and the wider global trends that could have a potential impact on Yorkshire & Humber businesses.
