In order to deliver a first-class service to our clients, we need first-class support internally.
It takes talented people to support the UK firm of the largest professional services organisation in the world. Not everyone works directly with external clients. Some of our best people choose to apply their talents inside PwC.
As part of Internal Firm Services, you could be one of our talented accountants, computer technologists, financial planners, human resource professionals, legal and compliance specialists, marketers, secretarial support, and more. The possibilities are endless and our business landscape is changing everyday.
We have opportunities to join in the following teams:
Be part of our award-winning marketing team (part of our Sales and Marketing function), where you’ll be involved in all aspects of marketing - from campaign planning, creative and content creation to digital advertising, social media and reporting. As a core member of our innovative and diverse team, you will help shape and deliver projects and campaigns, learn about the latest marketing trends and gain a range of skills to boost your future career.
Working within the Student Recruitment team you’ll provide fundamental administrative and operational support to the team, with a particular focus on ensuring a positive experience for all candidates applying to the organisation. We offer an eleven-month placement for students completing a placement as part of their degree.
Human Capital Quality & Service
HC Q&S are a pivotal component of the HC Service Delivery team in PwC UK. The team works closely with our outsource provider Conduent to ensure services are delivered consistently for our Human Capital Customer Services (HCCS) function.
In a climate where many companies choose to outsource some or all of their services, this placement will gain you some valuable experience in outsource management.
These placements are very hands-on, and you’ll get involved in all aspects of your role from day one. Your experience will be gained by a hands on approach to the role - by ‘doing’ rather than ‘observing’. Naturally, it will be challenging, exciting, fast-paced and, most of all, rewarding. The nature of the roles also provide opportunities to develop other ‘soft skills’ which are highly valued by employers such as teamwork, leadership and influencing skills, amongst others.
These eleven-month placements are for students completing a placement as part of their degree. You’ll work alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects. So you’ll get a good insight into working life at PwC.
By experiencing life inside one of the world’s largest professional services organisations, you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to build and work on your commercial and personal skills. Working alongside specialists, you’ll work on projects to give you the best insight into what we’re about. You’ll have the opportunity to build networks with your colleagues and peer group - factors which will make a real difference when you return for your last year at university.
Whilst on placement with us you’ll build your confidence working in a professional environment with the chance to work on some of our exciting projects impacting our clients and wider teams. We know how important it is to build networks and friendships whilst on placement, so you’ll be encouraged to work and socialise with others whether they’re based in the same office or beyond.
We’re proud that our placements exceed expectations for those who join us; giving you responsibility from your first week and the support to really add value to your teams. You’ll be amazed at the technology you’ll have access to, and we give you the opportunity to use it each and every day.
We recognise that for the majority of those who join us on placement, it’s the first time into a professional office environment and so you’ll have a buddy on hand to help you through your first few weeks, or months, to help you adjust to working life. It’s an exciting time for you and we’re there every step of the journey to help you excel and learn.
Our internal teams benefit from some of the latest technologies shared across our wider business functions, identifying opportunities to use these across our internal teams, helping our own PwC colleagues build on their digital upskilling and in turn benefiting their work.
Digital Academies have allowed our teams to think differently and explore the use of specialist programmes such as Tableau and Alteryx in their day-to-day work. We’re used to working with big volumes of data in many of our IFS teams, so there’s been some huge wins from utilising these technologies.
There’s a big emphasis on personal upskilling within our Internal teams, as without a curious workforce, we wouldn’t be able to truly support the firm to reimagine the possible.
Look beyond the norm and stretch your learning, we’re there to fully support you and bring that learning full circle to support your personal development.
