As part of our One Deals Graduate programme, you’ll experience different areas of the Deals business; helping you to grow your internal network and providing you with a good foundation in all aspects of deals and crises. You'll obtain a breadth of professional experience and more in-depth knowledge across our Deals propositions; to try out different types of work, and spend time with different clients. This not only helps you make more informed career decisions, it will also build your skills, making you a more rounded and insightful professional.
Over the programme, we’ll invest heavily in your training and development; through the EMEA wide Edge programme and your training in the UK. You’ll learn from experienced people, benefit from formal training courses and spend time with your Career Coach. As a Deals professional you could also be helping our clients to prepare for, respond to and emerge stronger from a wide range of business risks and issues.
We’re helping our clients manoeuvre through some major changes in the business world and our Deals teams are there to help navigate the opportunities ahead.
If you can see the big picture behind the numbers, you’ll love being part of our inspiring team. Your independent, creative and fresh thinking will allow you to develop valuable insights that help your clients.
We’ve a strong focus on wellbeing and work-life balance within Deals, especially when many of our client projects can be so fast paced and unpredictable in nature. It’s important that we give everyone that wellbeing support.
We’ve a big focus on empowerment too - our Deals colleagues are required to challenge our clients and senior stakeholders internally and externally, so we’ve developed a suite of tools and training to give that confidence to do this from the start.
We work in an environment where questions are encouraged, challenge is the norm and pride in our work is the goal. We foster a culture of learning, innovation and trust, not only with our clients but with each other too. This brings our teams even closer together and we want you to be part of this.
With the variety of clients we have a PwC, no two career pathways are ever the same, but you’ll be supported through every milestone of your career, by your manager and local Partner.
A number of our One Deals Graduate programmes will be part of our innovative international career development programme which we call Edge. As part of Edge, you will receive in-depth training, attend international events and build your global network as well as have the opportunity to do an international six month secondment.
In the September you join us, you’ll attend your first Edge event - International Deals Foundation Event for four days. The event will provide you with an introduction to Deals as well as the opportunity to develop business and personal skills.
You’ll study to become a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW). This qualification will take three years.
Upon successful completion of the programme and your professional qualification, you'll be awarded the PwC Advanced Certificate in Deals and be given the opportunity to specialise in the area and industry which best suits you and where you can build a successful career.
‘Edge’ is a blend of development opportunities (some international), rotations in a number of Deals business units, professional and technical learning and the support to complete a professional qualification. You could gain exposure to the following services: carve outs and post-merger integrations, refinancing and restructuring, major public enquiries, rogue trader or bribery allegations and bankruptcy and fraud.
More information can be found at pwc.com/edge. Please check individual job listings to verify if your programme is part of Edge.
For our Deals programmes, you'll need to have or be on course to pass a degree or above in any subject. Many of our Graduate roles in Deals are filled exclusively through our internship and placement opportunities.
Our Deals practice is more focused than ever on ensuring all colleagues are working towards a sustainable career. We listen to our people and know what’s important to them throughout their career, whether that’s broadening their client portfolios and working towards their next milestone, to understanding how we can better help each other when life inside and out of work is busy.

There’s more data than ever before, but it is often hard to uncover the value behind the information. This leads businesses to overlook what could be meaningful intelligence. Information that could be the crucial value driver for future mergers, acquisitions, disposals or restructuring activities. As a Deals specialist you’ll help our clients to cut through the complexities arising from too much data and unlock the opportunities, with our industry expertise and using the technology tools available to us.
