Having been a member of the South East Indirect Tax team for 2 years prior to joining the Indirect Tax Disputes Team, Huw has a wide experience of clients and VAT technical issues. Huw has assisted clients with a variety of partial exemption issues, liability queries based on multiple recent cases and more obscure products, complicated cross-border supply chains using EU simplifications, and gaming duty.

Huw has a strong partnership with PwC’s MyFinancePartner team who deliver finance services to small businesses and entrepreneurs and has recently assisted a FinTech Artificial Intelligence client in relation to a HMRC investigation. Huw is also a member of PwC’s National Sports and Entertainment Network concentrating on assisting the industry with VAT issues.

Since joining the Indirect Tax Disputes team, Huw has been involved in the preliminary stages of disputes with HMRC in relation to the application of the education exemption, landfill tax claims, and export evidence.
