Ian Godsmark

Ian is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in England and Wales (ICAEW) and has been a partner since 2018.

In his role as Audit Chief People Officer, Ian is responsible for delivering the Audit People Strategy, a central part of the UK Audit Strategy. As a member of the firmwide People Executive, he provides strategic oversight to align this with the firmwide People Strategy, collaborating with the other People Leaders across each line of service. He previously held a number of leadership roles within the firm’s Banking and Capital Markets Audit practice, including Commercial Partner and Change Leader.

Ian has over 18 years of experience within the Banking and Capital Markets sector in the UK and Australia, where he spent three 3-years on secondment. He specialises in the audit of financial institutions and has significant experience leading the audits of major financial services clients.
