Peter Witton
Tax Director and UK Hedge Fund Tax Leader, PwC United Kingdom
Peter is Director in PwC’s Alternative Investment Funds team and acts as the UK Hedge Fund Tax Leader.
He has over 13 years of experience working with a wide range of alternative asset management clients ranging in size from boutique single strategy start-ups through to some of the world’s largest multi-strategy managers.
Specialising in tax matters affecting alternative asset management clients with more liquid trading strategies such as Hedge Funds, HFT's and Prop/Family Office, Peter helps clients to structure their global management group, fund ranges and investments as well as supporting them with ongoing tax issues, compliance and reporting affecting their structure, investors, assets and people,
Peter is credited with writing the Hedge Fund chapter of the recent 5th edition of Tolley's Taxation of Collective Investment.
Peter is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bristol in the UK.
When not working, Peter enjoys DIY projects, road cycling and dog walks but most importantly, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter (preferably outside).
