Sophie Bashford

After receiving a First Class Honours in an Information Technology with Management undergraduate degree at the University of Reading, I was offered a place on the graduate scheme within Information Technology Risk Assurance (ITRA).

One part of ITRA is Data Assurance, which is the team I belong to. The Data Assurance team provides support to the Audit teams by helping to analyse the client’s data, to maximise value and efficiency in the audit process. All of the clients that I've had the opportunity to work on so far are within the FTSE 100. This has given me the opportunity to work on clients from a variety of industries, from retail to manufacturing to media and entertainment.

Since joining PwC in September 2013, I've already been given the opportunity to learn about new innovative technology and also complete other technical and interpersonal skills training courses.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling to new places, experimenting with cooking and baking, as well as socialising with friends and family.
