Data protection and privacy

In a post GDPR live environment, businesses need to operationalise their day-to-day data protection activities and prepare for the emerging reality of personal data breaches. PwC, with its strong multidisciplinary team, can help.

How should my organisation be operating in a GDPR live environment?

The GDPR introduced the largest change to data protection legislation since the European Data Protection Directive in 1995. The potential for heavy fines featured large in media headlines and organisations undertook wide-scale privacy change programmes in preparation for the GDPR live date of 25 May 2018. But, GDPR is much more than a one-off change programme, or a series of business activities designed to avoid a fine - it's the reality of today's modern, customer-centric, business.

While the focus, up to now, has typically been on paper, people and organisational processes, it's undeniable that technology will play an increasingly important role in personal data processing. Join us on the Journey to Code, a journey which focuses on the technology surrounding and supporting the processing of personal data.
