The joint administrators of CPR Realisations Limited (“Carpetright”) are pleased to provide an update on the ongoing property sales process following the initial acquisition by CWHP Ltd (“Tapi”) of 54 stores and two warehouses on 22 July.
Since the announcement of the Tapi transaction, the joint administrators have successfully completed the sale of a further 45 stores to a number of interested parties. In each case, the administrators granted the buyers a licence to occupy the premises, with a view to agreeing a long term occupation.
Peter Dickens, Joint Administrator at PwC UK, said:
“In addition to further returns for creditors, we’re hopeful that the sale of these sites will provide future employment opportunities when businesses commence trading from them. Ensuring the continuation of retail services in the communities these stores serve was also an important consideration for us as we worked on securing these agreements, and we look forward to seeing these sites flourish under new occupancy in the coming months.”
