PwC strengthens Capital Advisory and Restructuring capability with senior hire

PwC has appointed Shaun Holmes as Director in its UK Restructuring practice, further strengthening the firm’s capability across the capital advisory and restructuring landscape at a time of increasing market dislocation.

Shaun joins PwC with almost 40 years’ experience across the financial markets, advising corporates, sponsors and lenders on restructurings, special situations, acquisition finance and recapitalisations. He brings deep expertise in both advisory and principal investing roles, alongside long-standing relationships across both the banks and the private credit market.

Most recently, Shaun led the Stephens corporate finance business in London, advising mid-market clients on M&A, debt advisory and restructurings. Previously he led the European Restructuring & Special Situations Group at Canaccord Genuity and spent more than 20 years at RBS where he was a Managing Director of the £1.1bn Special Opportunities Fund.

At PwC, Shaun will focus on supporting boards, management teams, investors, and lenders as they navigate balance sheet stress, refinancing challenges and complex stakeholder environments.
