PwC voted top graduate employer for record 15th year

10/03/18

PwC has been voted the UK’s number one graduate employer in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers for an unprecedented fifteenth consecutive year. The ranking is based on interviews with 19,147 final year students.

Over 50,000 students applied to 1,216 graduate and 550 school leaver places at PwC this year, that’s nearly 36 people for every place. The firm’s offering to graduates continues to evolve, with 60% of graduate roles now based outside of London and new routes into the firm created to make sure that opportunities are open to all. This includes the launch of PwC’s innovative technology degree apprenticeship, with over 100 students starting on fully-funded Computer Science or Data Science degree courses with five universities across the UK this September. The four year course will combine the traditional university experience with real-life projects with PwC’s technology teams. 30% of the first intake are women, which is almost double the national average for women currently studying a Computer Sciences degree course in the UK.

Kevin Ellis, chairman and senior partner at PwC, said:

“We’re delighted that for the fifteenth year in a row university graduates have voted us the top graduate employer. Over that time, we have recruited, trained and developed more than 15,000 graduates and provided work experience for more than 5,000 undergraduates. A legacy we are extremely proud of.

“At PwC, we want to attract and retain the most talented people so we’re continually evolving our recruitment processes to ensure they’re as open and inclusive as possible. Last year we recruited from over 100 universities, launched our fully-funded technology degree apprenticeships across the UK and hired the majority of our graduate roles outside of London.”

Ends.
