PwC welcomes 50 ESG interns as part of 500 strong cohort

29/06/22

50 ESG interns will join PwC for a six week period, across its Deals, Risk, Consulting and Tax businesses. In an expansion of PwC’s climate focused internship programme, interns will be working on client projects related to societal and environmental issues including climate reporting and the transition to net zero.

500 students in total will join the firm on paid summer internships that offer invaluable insight into PwC's business and culture, giving them the opportunity to experience work and life at PwC, and collaborate with both graduate trainees and experienced professionals on real client projects.

The interns will work across a wide range of projects, giving them the opportunity to showcase and develop their skills, while learning more about what PwC does.

ESG interns will help contribute to the development and delivery of services focused on helping businesses address environmental and societal challenges and opportunities.

Applicants must have some form of ESG-related qualification, this could include sustainability (e.g. Environmental Science, Physical Geography with climatology or Sustainable Engineering) or social-related field (e.g. Psychology, Organisational Behaviour/Diversity & Inclusion, Modern Slavery).

Zubin Randeria, ESG Leader, PwC, commented:

“Each year our interns are able to gain invaluable insight into PwC's business, and as our business evolves, we’re delighted that we’ve been able to offer up 50 places to ESG interns.

“These students, who must have a form of ESG qualification, will work across a variety of projects and help contribute to the development and delivery of the wider ESG proposition across PwC UK.

“Our clients are asking more questions of what ESG means for them, and I’m confident this group of interns can help answer some of these questions.”

Cathy Baxter, head of talent engagement at PwC, said;

“It's fantastic to be welcoming our largest ever cohort of interns this summer. As an employer, our internships allow us to access and identify the very best talent even earlier in their studies.

“Our internships are integral to giving students valuable insight into our culture and how we work. This year’s interns will benefit from ‘the deal’, PwC’s approach to blended working, allowing them to work flexibly and use our summer working hours policy.”
