Information for former Extra Energy customers
If you have an outstanding account with Extra Energy you should have received correspondence regarding your debt. Due to the age of the debts, the liquidators will be taking no further action in respect of debt recovery.
Mike Denny, Matthew Hammond and Ian Green of PwC were appointed as joint administrators of Extra Energy Supply Limited and Utility Professional Business Operations Limited ("the Companies") on 4 December 2018. Ian Green changed responsibilities within PwC and ceased to act for the Companies with effect from 19 December 2019. Edward Williams replaced Mike Denny as joint administrator with effect from 4 January 2021. The administration of Extra Energy Supply Limited converted to creditors’ voluntary liquidation on 4 June 2021 and the administration of Utility Professional Business Operations Limited converted to creditors’ voluntary liquidations on 3 June 2021 ( Matthew Hammond and Edward Williams were appointed as joint liquidators of the Companies.
Extra Energy Supply Limited ceased to trade before our appointment and Ofgem, the energy regulator, appointed Scottish Power as the new energy supplier for any existing Extra Energy customers with effect from 25 November 2018.

Scottish Power has committed to honour credit balances for both current and past customers of Extra Energy who are owed money.
During the former administration we passed the details of accounts with credit balances to ScottishPower. If you have not been contacted by ScottishPower and believe that you may be due a credit, please email ScottishPower at EECreditQuery@scottishpower.com. The liquidators are unable to deal with queries regarding credit balances, please direct these to Scottish Power.
