PwC's Debt & Capital Advisory team acted as exclusive financial advisor to H2 Equity Partners on the carve-out acquisition of ARRI Rental Group

PwC's Debt & Capital Advisory team is pleased to have advised H2 Equity Partners on raising debt finance, provided by Barings Asset Management Limited, to fund the cross border, carve-out acquisition of ARRI Rental Group from ARRI Cine Technik GmbH, which is being divested following ARRI Group's acquisition by Riedel Communications.

ARRI Rental Group is a leading global premium manufacturer and equipment rental provider of camera and lighting technology for motion picture and live entertainment. The business works directly with Directors of Production throughout production planning, with lens selection, production scale, and technical equipment rental support driving equipment decisions. Founded in Munich in 1955, it operates 11 sites across the UK, Europe, and the US, employing c.220 FTEs. ARRI is one of only two players able to serve the largest, most complex global productions.

Transaction Overview

PwC's Debt & Capital Advisory team acted as financial advisor to H2 Equity Partners, structuring, securing, and executing a funding solution to finance the carve-out of ARRI Rental.

This transaction adds to H2's track record of 10+ prior successful carve-out transactions. Going forward, H2 will support ARRI Rental in establishing standalone business functions, continue strengthening its management team, and continuing its separation from ARRI Cine Technik, all while maintaining operational continuity, pursuing its growth levers, and expanding into new verticals to enhance its customer offering.
