PwC Corporate Finance advises LDC on its investment in The Frankham Group, a leading multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy

PwC UK is delighted to announce that it acted as lead buy-side advisor to LDC on its investment in The Frankham Group (“Frankham”), a leading multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy.

Headquartered in Sidcup, Kent, and established in 1982 by Steve Frankham MBE as a building surveying practice, Frankham has become one of the UK’s leading multidisciplinary consultancies for the built environment. Today, employing c.250 people, it delivers a broad range of end-to-end services, spanning fire and building compliance, surveying and project management, engineering, and design. It has over 700 private and public sector clients and works on projects across the housing, infrastructure, commercial and other sectors.

Frankham has doubled turnover over the past five years, underpinned by growing demand for compliance-led services driven by regulatory and legislative change. Historically focused on London and the South East, it has recently expanded to other parts of the country and in April 2025, opened an office in Birmingham – its fifth site, alongside Sidcup, London, Stevenage and Oxford.

LDC is backing CEO Richard Chitty and his current management team as they pursue an organic and acquisitive growth strategy. Richard has been with the business for 32 years, starting as a surveyor and serving as Group Managing Director since 2008. LDC’s investment will help Frankham accelerate its 2030 growth strategy, targeting further geographic expansion. The transaction also follows the retirement of founder and chairman Steve Frankham MBE after 44 years leading the business.

The UK Business Services Corporate Finance team acted as lead buy-side advisor to LDC on the opportunity, on account of PwC’s strong credentials in the Built Environment sector. The PwC deal team comprised Tim Armstrong, Matt Loxton, Sam Webb and Alex Retamal.
