PwC advises Secaro shareholders on its sale to Asuene Inc

PwC is pleased to announce that it has advised the shareholders of Secaro (formerly Manufacture2030) on its sale to Asuene Inc, a leading provider of AI powered carbon accounting and sustainability management solutions headquartered in Japan.

Secaro offers proprietary data insights that enables organisations to improve supply chain transparency and manage sustainability data across complex supplier networks. Its platform helps businesses collect, analyse and report environmental and supply chain information, supporting increasingly sophisticated regulatory, operational and customer requirements.

The acquisition by Asuene brings together complementary capabilities in sustainability technology and supply chain data, creating opportunities to enhance organisations' ability to manage carbon emissions and supply chain performance through data-driven insights.

The transaction reflects growing global demand for technology solutions that combine environmental, social and governance (ESG) expertise with high-quality data and digital platforms. As sustainability reporting requirements continue to evolve, organisations are increasingly seeking technology that provides greater visibility across their value chains and supports informed decision-making.

The deal is a strong example of PwC's ability to bring together complementary sector expertise to deliver successful outcomes for clients on cross-border transactions.

Drawing on deep experience across ESG, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), and software, the team combined sector knowledge with M&A execution to support shareholders throughout the transaction. As ESG increasingly becomes a data challenge, businesses like Secaro are well positioned at the intersection of technology, supply chain intelligence and regulatory change.

“This transaction represents a significant milestone for Secaro. Throughout the process, the PwC team worked tirelessly alongside us, providing pragmatic advice and helping us navigate a complex international transaction. As part of the ASUENE Group, we are now in an even stronger position to accelerate product innovation and deliver greater value to customers around the world.”
