PwC Corporate Finance has advised the shareholders of Blake Clough Consulting Limited (“Blake Clough”), a specialist consultancy supporting complex infrastructure and power markets, on an investment by H&MV (“H&MV”) into the company. The transaction completed on 16 December 2025. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Blake Clough is an internationally recognised energy consulting firm delivering strategic advisory, programme management and technical services to major clients across energy, infrastructure and regulated markets. With a team of close to 70 professionals operating across multiple jurisdictions, Blake Clough has built a reputation for deep sector expertise and long-standing client relationships.
H&MV is a global provider of specialist power infrastructure engineering, design and delivery services, with a particular focus on high-voltage electrical systems supporting data centres, renewables and utilities. Since 2022, H&MV has scaled rapidly with continued backing from private equity and minority investors, positioning it to lead in high-growth energy transition markets.
Rationale
The investment in Blake Clough aligns with H&MV’s strategic objective to broaden its professional services offering, enhancing its capability to support clients throughout the lifecycle of complex energy and infrastructure projects. The combination strengthens H&MV’s presence in the UK and international consultancy markets and provides additional advisory depth alongside its engineering and delivery expertise.
PwC’s role
PwC Corporate Finance acted as lead financial adviser to the shareholders of Blake Clough throughout the process. The PwC team was led by Lead Advisory Partner Jonathan Shelley and Ben Francis (Associate Director), with support from Ross Marshall in the Deals Tax team. PwC provided comprehensive transaction support, including strategic review, preparation of marketing materials, buyer engagement, negotiation and execution support.
