Brigade SROI: Valuing social impact

Brigade is a bar, restaurant and venue, based in central London. It opened in September 2011, thanks to a unique partnership between PwC, De Vere Venues, the Homes and Communities Agency, Big Issue Invest, the charity Beyond Food and the chef Simon Boyle.  As well as being a busy working restaurant, Brigade is the home for a series of programmes that Beyond Food runs with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

This report looks at the social impact of Brigade over its first three years. It includes the views of those involved in creating and running the partnership, the wider stakeholders and the apprentices themselves, who all discuss how they’ve been affected by their experiences. The report also includes an estimate of the social return on investment (SROI) generated by the first three years of the partnership in monetary terms.
