PwC advises Wren Kitchens on the acquisition of certain assets of Moores Furniture Group

January 2026

PwC’s Special Situations M&A team is pleased to have advised Wren Kitchens (“Wren”), one of the UK’s largest designers, manufacturers and retailers of fitted kitchens and bedrooms, on the acquisition of certain assets of Moores Furniture Group (“Moores”) following the company’s entry into administration.

Founded in 1947 and based in Wetherby, Moores is a long-established kitchen manufacturer supplying housebuilders, the public sector and affordable housing developers.

Through a pre-pack administration process, Wren has acquired the customer list and certain intellectual property assets of Moores. This transaction enables Wren to support continuity for customers and to integrate key strategic assets that complement its existing manufacturing and supply capabilities.

We acted as buy-side adviser to Wren, providing strategic and transactional advice throughout a complex and time-critical process.

Craig Bishop, Finance Director at Wren commented:

“PwC provided clear, pragmatic and highly responsive advice throughout the process. Their understanding of the stakeholder dynamics - and experience in distressed M&A – was instrumental in negotiating and structuring a deal for us in complex and fast-moving circumstances.”

Matt McErlane, Director at PwC said:

“We are pleased to advise our valued client on this deal. The transaction will ensure continuity of supply chain for the housing market and enables Wren to accelerate the growth of its market leading contracts business.”
