This might sound obvious, but the most important thing coming out of COP28 so far is the need for action. It's been incredible seeing the amount of business leaders, governments, young people all coming together and across the green zone, seeing that sharing of ideas, innovation and challenges. But really that needs to come together now and be harnessed to make the action actually happen.

The most surprising thing I've observed at COP so far, but in a positive way, is the collaboration that we've seen from different parties with that real focus on a shared goal, tackling climate change, that really harnesses the power of coming together. If that can come out of COP and be there going forward, it will fundamentally change the agenda.

For me, it's really important that organisations don't feel overwhelmed by the task that's ahead of them. What they need to do is focus on the priorities for their organisation and build them into a roadmap.

Whilst COP hasn't been around reporting, it's been really interesting to see the discussions around how reporting can really help drive that agenda. My advice to organisations would be use that reporting to really enable you to gather data, use that data to make those decisions and make that change.
