Martin Garthwaite: If you come from a lower socio-economic background like I did, there's no doctors, dentists, accountants in my family and you just don't know what you don't know. If you live in London, and you live in the East End and you look up at the skyscrapers in Canary Wharf, all you see is the shining lights and shining buildings and you have no idea what goes on in there. And I think programmes like the one that we do here with New World New Skills really opens up young people's minds to the possibilities of what they can do and that, you know, they can aim for a job in those big, tall, shiny skyscrapers, whereas they might have thought that they weren't welcome there.

David: Not only could I see myself working here, I genuinely feel like I belong here. The way they talk to us, they don't talk down on us, but they uplift us and they put us on the same level as them. And I feel like even from Partner level, like we had the opportunity to talk to Partners as well as Associates and I didn't feel the conversation was much different.

Anna: Coming into this week, I definitely had the idea of working at PwC and I think I wanted this as confirmation for myself, and I definitely got that.

Adnan: Because we’re in this new Bradford office, we don't just get to see people that come out of Bradford and transition into this new office. We also get to see people from the local area that we can communicate with and understand. But being able to see people going into places that PwC or any of the Big Four firms, it really inspires me to be just like them.

Amy: I think the programme’s important, so like you know how to act in a professional environment and just know the skills that you need to succeed.

Clayton and Bleonard: On that element, I think Adrian, Khadija, Sophie, these are all like actual people. We sort of went into it thinking, OK, what are they going to do? Are they going to be more like teachers? But they actually came out as human and it was really enjoyable to sort of just sit there and talk to them a bit more about their personal life, how they made it into PwC. And we got to just understand that it's not all that hard and it requires hard work, and they sort of led us down the path. So I think we were both really happy to meet them.

Thank you Khadija, Sophie, Adrian and everyone who met us, everyone, thank you.
