Regional Leader, PwC United Kingdom
Claire was appointed Regional Leader for PwC in Scotland in July 2019, having previously been Head of Assurance.
In addition, Claire leads PwC's growing Technology Risk practice nationally across the UK, and chairs the firm’s Technology Investments Committee which oversees and governs technology spend across the UK practice.
She has been with PwC for 20 years, working in the US and London (where she spent 10 years working with FTSE100 businesses), and her career has spanned leading a number of technology businesses (including cyber security). She has extensive experience in leading clients through digital transformations (including ERP implementations), cyber and information security and IT assurance programmes. She loves complex technology challenges and enjoys helping her clients navigate through these. She spends time with senior business leaders and boards to ensure they are managing new and emerging risks, and come up with strategies and plans to support them.
Claire is not afraid to challenge the norms and is an advocate of changing the culture of the profession - she is a vocal supporter of a move away from presenteeism and PwC’s “dress for your day” policy, which has relaxed the dress code for staff, to better encourage flexible working.
She is a member of the CBI Council for Scotland and actively mentors other females through the Scottish Females Mentoring scheme.
She balances her role as a Partner with being a mum to three children.
