There's now a much sharper recognition that the UK has a real opportunity to take a global lead in financial and professional services, but reasserting that leadership isn't a given. It will take pace and it will take intent.
At its core, this comes down to three things: faster reform, mobilising long term savings more effectively and accelerating digital market infrastructure with AI and tokenisation at the centre.
For Asset & Wealth Management, two things really matter: first, putting more of the UK’s £4–5 trillion in pensions and insurance capital to work in productive assets at scale; second, moving decisively on tokenisation, scaling tokenised funds and building the digital market infrastructure that will boost the next generation of wholesale markets because the reality is scale alone is not enough.
The firms that pull ahead will be those that move faster, using AI and digital platforms to operate differently, not just incrementally better.
This isn’t just a moment of opportunity, it’s a moment of choice. And there really is no time to lose.
