Ruth Preedy
I absolutely love leading our Audit Risk and Quality team, or ARQ as we call it.

As experienced auditors and technical specialists, we support our audit teams to deliver high-quality audits. We believe in the public interest importance of the work we do, and through collaboration, constructive challenge, and a focus on continuous improvement, we work together to get to the right answers.

Let’s hear from some of the teams in ARQ on how they collaborate across our practice.

Adeel Halari
I perform Real Time Reviews, which means I support teams during the audit by providing an additional review of high-risk areas.

I really enjoy working with people from across our practice throughout the audit cycle, providing challenge, support, and coaching. Knowing I have a direct impact on audit quality in the moment makes me feel a sense of purpose and is what I love most about my job!

Mark Randall
I’m part of Corporate Reporting Services - or CRS - and help teams to find solutions to complex accounting and reporting problems.

I really enjoy using my expertise and industry experience to make sure that everyone’s aware of changes in the market and that our teams have everything they need to deliver high-quality work.

Kathryn Donkersley
Working in CRS goes beyond supporting engagement teams to tackle tricky accounting problems. I also work with our learning and development teams to help write and deliver training materials on the latest accounting updates.

One of the highlights of my role is presenting these at our External Auditor Training webcasts and our in-person training days. I love that I get to talk directly with our qualified auditors about accounting matters that affect their day-to-day work.

Gadija Kamalie
I work in the Continuous Improvement Team in ARQ. My role is to bring together a wide range of information to identify what we’re doing really well, and where we could do better.

Part of this is looking into root cause analysis, which helps us understand lessons from any findings, as well as what drives our best practice. This really helps us to understand what's going on, so we can take action and keep enhancing the quality of our audits.
