Transparency Report 2025 - Our audit behaviours

Melisa Mistry
High-quality audits need high performing teams. We have three Audit Behaviours: Team first, Challenge and be open to challenge, and Take pride.

These behaviours support our people to deliver consistently high quality. They set clear expectations and are embedded into everything we do.

Team first

Team first is how we work together in an effective and inclusive way, to help the whole team to be their best.

Lynn Chime
I make the time to coach my team. I try to make sure everyone really understands the organisation we're auditing and what they do, and most importantly, why we're doing the work.

Jay Talesara
I am part of the offshore team in India. My teams let me know their expectations, so I’m really clear on my role and responsibilities. They do this upfront and throughout the audit, and I really think this helps us work better together.

Mark Edmunds
I like to get to know my teams and who they are as individuals, so we can work better together to deliver high quality.

Challenge and be open to challenge

Melisa Mistry
Asking questions of each other and the organisations we audit is fundamental to quality.

That's why we have the behaviour, challenge and be open to challenge. This encourages teams to create a safe-space so everyone can build confidence to speak up and share their views.

Erin Hood
In my teams, we encourage each other to be curious and are always asking questions. I feel listened to - even if my ideas aren't always the ones we go with.

Dev Daas
I try to lead by example and speak up, so others feel more able to ask questions and share their views. I want everyone to feel supported, as I know that's when we do our best work.

Vanessa Cheng
I think honest feedback is really important. It helps us to grow, learn, and develop. This means we can all be our best.

Take pride

Melisa Mistry
Being proud can be motivating and helps us find meaning in our work. Our audits serve the public interest, and understanding its importance means we take ownership and deliver work we can be proud of.

Zaynab Mandalawi
I always do the right thing, and integrity is really important to me. If something doesn't feel right, I speak up, even if it's not easy.

Reece Bezuidenhout
I take ownership of every piece of work that I'm involved in. I want to deliver something I'm really proud of.

Laura Kantono
I love when our team comes together to recognise what we've achieved. Celebrating success, big or small, keeps us all motivated.

Melisa Mistry
Our sense of purpose drives us to be at our best and deliver high quality in everything we do. I always remind myself and my team that what we do really matters.
