Accelerating change: London FinTech 2015 - 2016

2015 saw a major shift in the UK FinTech landscape. As more startups enter the market there is increasing need to understand this shift and monitor what is happening. Alongside Startupbootcamp we have studied the key trends and patterns seen in the UK FinTech market over the past 12 months and have predicted developments and challenges for 2016 onwards.

  • Payments, once the main focus for financial technology innovation, has now reached a certain level of maturity and others are starting to gain ground

  • Blockchain got the most attention in 2015, but it is yet to drive significant change in the industry
  • Corporates are struggling to partner with FinTech startups.
