Colin Bates

Colin works with entrepreneurial executives in organisations that don't sit still. As their audit partner, he seeks to draw on his experience over the last 23 years, to help them build value, create wealth and realise their ambitions.

He has worked with globally leading and cutting edge organisations, through periods of rapid growth, international expansion, M&A and ultimately to exit - IPOs or sale to financial or trade buyers. As a consequence, Colin's client's comprise private equity portfolio companies, listed groups and private businesses.

A good listener, a caring attitude, combined with a hands on and commercial approach, means that Colin develops long-term and trusted relationships. His clients have taken him and his teams to all corners of the World including frontier and developing markets.

Having studied Physics back in the 1990s, Colin has a passion for businesses which have technology at their heart, from robotics or AI to create new customer experiences or improve internal processes to the commercialisation of new materials such as graphene.

Colin leads our West and Wales region's cross-service private business team (which includes tax, deals, consulting and assurance), which means he can bring the best of the PwC to you and your business.
