Hemione Hudson
Head of Audit, PwC United Kingdom
Hemione has been a member of the UK Management Board for over 5 years and is the UK Head of Audit. She is also a member of the Public Interest Body, Audit Oversight Body, the Clients & Markets Executive, Executive Risk Committee and the Global Assurance Leadership Team.
Prior to becoming the Head of Audit in 2019 Hemione was the Head of Assurance and has also held a number of leadership roles within the UK firm’s Financial Services practice.
Hemione has specialised in auditing and advising clients in the banking and broader financial services sectors, and has worked with a range of Global, European and UK-based clients.
As part of her role on the Management Board Hemione is responsible for setting and delivering the UK firm’s Audit strategy, including financial audit, non-financial audit and assurance and ESG assurance. This encompasses oversight of, and responsibility for audit quality, including leading the Programme to Enhance Audit Quality.

Hemione received a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Durham in 1995, and joined PwC UK later that year. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 and became a Partner of the firm in 2007.
