PwC’s Scale programme makes move into Media

18 Feb 2022

PwC has expanded its Scale programme of support for growing tech companies with the launch of its first MediaTech cohort, featuring nine innovative companies ready to take the next step in their growth.

The Scale programme, which is run in conjunction with GrowthBuilders, was developed to drive growth and innovation by helping fast-growth companies work closer with media industry leaders.

PwC Scale MediaTech is a new programme, joining the likes of FinTech, WealthTech and Proptech. Among the technologies developed by the cohort are specialist tools for AI, content marketing, social media management and data.

Having run over 50 Scale Programmes in the UK working with more than 500 scale-ups, PwC’s Scale offering of three core components is proven to accelerate growth by tapping into PwC’s corporate network, that stretches around the globe; exploring opportunities with PwC leaders who work with the biggest media brands; and upskilling and developing scale-up teams through a world-class business growth curriculum.

The programme is delivered over 12 weeks and curates partnerships, co-creation and collaboration between MediaTechs and large Media & Entertainment organisations and large brands keen to tap into new ways of driving profitability, growth and innovation.

The business curriculum brings topics such as sales and marketing, operational growth, professional readiness, valuations, leading through growth as well as exposure to industry specialisms. The cohort itself is curated around PwC’s large client challenges which brings through highly relevant solutions to drive opportunities for both.

Dan Bunyan, Partner and PwC Scale | MediaTech Programme Sponsor, said:

“It gives me great pleasure to announce the first PwC Scale | MediaTech programme and I'm excited by the opportunities it can drive for us and our clients.

“From a group of over 1,100 MediaTech firms, we have selected nine exceptional firms to whom we will be providing access to advice, bespoke support and client networking events.

“Scale is a really important platform for us - we want to meet interesting high growth businesses. Being close to these firms helps us advise our clients on the latest trends, innovations and partnership opportunities.

“I'm excited to follow this intake and work with them to continue to drive the technology transformation within the Media industry.”
