Notice of Scheme Effective Date and Claims Submission Deadline
By Order of the Supreme Court of Gibraltar (the “Court”) dated 27 May 2026, the Scheme of Arrangement proposed by Elite Insurance Company Limited (in Administration) ("Elite" or the "Company") was sanctioned and made effective as of 4 June 2026. This followed meetings of the Company's Scheme Creditors, comprising FSCS Protected Creditors and Other Direct Insurance Creditors, convened for the purpose of considering and, if thought fit, approving the Scheme.
The meetings of the FSCS Protected Creditors and the Other Direct Insurance Creditors (together, the "Scheme Meetings") were held on 7 May 2026. The Company is pleased to confirm that the Scheme was approved by the required statutory majority in each creditor class:
Scheme Effective Date
Following the Sanction Hearing and the Scheme becoming effective shortly thereafter on 4 June 2026, Other Direct Insurance Creditors are required to submit their claims in the Scheme, by the Claim Submission Deadline of 1 December 2026. The quickest and easiest way to submit a claim is through the online claims portal, which you can register for using the information below. Scheme Creditors can amend their claim up until the Claims Submission Deadline. If Elite requests further evidence from you after reviewing your claim, Scheme Creditors will have 28 days from the date of Elite's request to provide the additional evidence.
This requirement applies only to Other Direct Insurance Creditors. FSCS-protected creditors should continue to submit claims through the ordinary claims process until the FSCS cut-off date, which is currently expected to be 31 December 2027, as the FSCS will continue to provide protection for eligible claims until that date.
Voting is now closed and the Scheme is legally binding on all Scheme Creditors.

Why have I received this?
Any correspondence you have received from Elite Insurance Company Limited (in Administration) is legitimate and may be important to you. You may be entitled to make a claim or receive compensation under the proposed Scheme of Arrangement (Scheme).
You may not recognise the name Elite Insurance Company Limited, as Elite often provided insurance as the underlying insurer on policies sold through third-party intermediaries (sometimes called “coverholders”), or on policies that attach to a building rather than to an individual. This means you may be affected even if you did not deal with Elite directly.
