Suppliers

The Special Managers will process payments to suppliers, for goods and services supplied to the Companies since the date of the liquidations. Please note that any remaining invoices should be submitted at the earliest opportunity.

All agents, subcontractors and suppliers will be paid for goods and services provided during and for the benefit of the Liquidation where they have received confirmation post-appointment that these are required such as a valid purchase order or written agreement from the Special Managers. Such payments will relate to goods and services provided in the normal course of trading, unless otherwise agreed.

What has happened to the Companies?

Nottingham Rehab Limited and NRS Healthcare Limited have been placed into Compulsory Liquidation with the Official Receiver appointed as Liquidator on 1 August 2025.  Special Managers, Mark James Tobias Banfield, Edward Williams, Helen Laura Wheeler-Jones, Adam Seres and David James Kelly from PwC, have also been appointed to support the Official Receiver. These appointments were made by the High Court at 8.38am on 1 August 2025.

We refer you to our website at www.pwc.co.uk/nottinghamhealthcare. for further information on the consequences of a liquidation and the role of Special Managers.

At the present time the Companies are continuing to trade as normal whilst the Special Managers conduct an immediate review of their affairs. Our intent is to maintain service provision as Business as Usual, however we do not have sufficient funding to provide all services.

The ongoing central service costs are to be pooled and shared across the customers. We do not yet have a clear view on how much these will be, or across how many customers they will be shared, given that some customers may have contingency plans in place or may be able to transition their contracts more quickly than others.

What is a liquidation?

A compulsory liquidation is when a company is ordered by a court to be wound up, for example, on the petition of a creditor or creditors on the grounds that the company cannot pay its debts.

What is a Special Manager?

Special Managers can be appointed by the court on the application of the Official Receiver to manage the business or property of a company when a company has gone into liquidation.

What is the current position?

The Companies are continuing to trade with funding from the Official Receiver, whilst options for the various businesses are considered.

Are my good and services still required?

Suppliers who are still required to provide services will be contacted and will be asked to work and provide goods and services as normal, under their existing contracts, terms and conditions.

If you consider that your goods or services are critical to the ongoing provision of services please email Uk_nrs_suppliers@pwc.com.

Will I get paid if I continue to deliver goods and services?

Yes, you will get paid for goods you supply from the date of the Official Receiver's appointment onwards. Over the coming days we will review supplier contracts, and we’ll contact you concerning these soon.

Goods and services you supply during the liquidation will be paid for. A letter will be sent to suppliers shortly containing further instructions.

How do I claim retention of title on goods that have been delivered but not paid for?

You will be required to complete and submit a questionnaire with relevant supporting documents to evidence your entitlement to any goods.  You will also be required to attend site to identify your goods when requested.  In the first instance please communicate with your normal contact at the Companies.

What if I’m owed money for goods and services delivered prior to the liquidation?

The Special Manager will be writing to you to explain the consequences of the liquidation and your rights as a creditor.

What is an Official Receiver?

The Official Receiver acts as an Officer of the Court in insolvency matters and is also an employee of the Insolvency Service, an executive agency of the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. The agency is responsible for overseeing the insolvency process, investigating the cause of company failure and making redundancy and other related payments to employees when their employer is unable to do so.
