Virtual Schools Series

Helping students develop their skills for the future

Welcome to our Virtual Schools Series, part of our New World. New Skills programme.

Designed for secondary school students, this programme aims to support them in developing their skills for the future and making the most of their potential in their chosen career.

The learning materials include a suite of pre-recorded videos and activities to be completed in the classroom, all of which can be viewed ‘on demand’, giving you the flexibility to access the programme in a way that best suits you and your students.

Dragons' Den programme

This programme provides an opportunity for secondary school students of any age to try out their entrepreneurial skills. Throughout the eight sessions, students are presented with a problem and encouraged to develop ideas to solve it, before presenting their pitch to their teacher and classmates.

This programme has been mapped to the Skills Builder framework and will support your students in developing their teamwork, creativity, problem solving and speaking skills. For schools in England, this programme will support you in meeting seven out of eight Gatsby Benchmarks.

All the learning materials to deliver this programme can be found below. Take a look at the Teacher Guide for detailed information to support you in running these sessions
