How I use Music in my work now:
- I use my experience of performing in front of people to help me run workshops and presentations for the Tech Start-ups I work with
- I use my experience of working 1-on-1 with my vocal coach to help me structure the mentoring sessions i run with each of my founders. From taking the time to get to know them and how they like to work, to identifying the type of results they desire and working together to ensure the right steps are taken to reach their goals
My highlight of my job so far
- My proudest moment was convincing 6 amazing startups to join my programme in the midst of Covid-19, and making the entire programme virtual for the first time.
- Meeting amazing founders from around the world, learning about the origins of their businesses/markets and helping them improve their pitches ahead of our large investor event
If I went back in time what piece of advice would I give my 17 year old self?
You don’t have to have everything figured out. No two peoples career path is the same. Do things that you enjoy and research what sort of careers would facilitate these types of activities! Travel whenever you have the opportunity to, even if it’s in the UK. Make the most of your free time, and being in control of your schedule!
